Do I need previous fitness qualifications?

No. You do not need any previous fitness qualifications or coaching experience. The Academy is designed to take you from the foundations of gym instructing through to becoming a qualified personal trainer.

Do I need to be extremely fit?

No. You do not need to be an athlete or at peak fitness. You need a genuine interest in health and fitness, a willingness to learn and the commitment to complete both the practical and theory elements of the course.

What is the difference between the women-only and mixed routes?

Both routes lead to the same recognised qualifications and maintain the same standards. The women-only route provides a supportive space specifically for women, while the mixed route is open to all genders. You can choose the environment in which you will learn most confidently.

What qualifications will I complete?

You will work towards recognised Level 2 Gym Instructing and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications. These provide the core qualifications required to work as a gym instructor and personal trainer.

How much does the Academy cost?

The early enrolment price is £1,200. The standard course price is £1,500. Your course fee includes teaching, practical training, mentoring, assessments and career-development support.

How does the £300 deposit work?

A £300 deposit secures your place on your selected Academy cohort. It forms part of the total course fee rather than being an additional charge. The remaining balance must be paid in full or through an agreed instalment plan.

Yes. After paying the £300 deposit, the remaining course fee can be spread through an agreed instalment plan. The payment schedule will be confirmed with you before you enrol.

When are the next cohort start dates?

The next Academy intake begins in late September 2026. Places are limited, and further cohort dates will be announced shortly. Applicants can register their interest or attend an Open Day before enrolling.

What happens at an Open Day?

You will meet the Academy team, tour The Midlands HQ, learn how the qualifications and assessments work, explore the women-only and mixed routes and ask questions about fees, payment plans and career pathways. It is an opportunity to decide whether the Academy is right for you before committing.

Question 10

What practical experience will I receive?

You will develop practical coaching skills at The Midlands HQ, including gym-floor instruction, exercise demonstrations, programme planning, client communication and supervised coaching. Where appropriate, you may also gain exposure to live classes, community programmes and other delivery opportunities across our ecosystem.

No course can guarantee employment. However, we do more than provide a qualification. We help learners build practical experience, confidence, business knowledge and career-readiness. Graduates may be considered for suitable opportunities within The Midlands HQ, She Beasts and our partner network, subject to performance, suitability and role availability.
